This short post from\u00a0The Center for Religious Affairs in the Diaspora\u00a0<\/a>and\u00a0World Bnei Akiva<\/a>\u00a0provides a list of 17 ideas for booths and activities for a Yom Ha’atzmaut event. Although the list is written in poor English and does not contain detailed directions for many of the ideas, it\u00a0may still be a helpful resource for someone looking for ways to make their community Yom Ha’atzmaut more fun for children<\/em><\/p>\n

Ideas for booths at a Yom HaAtzmaut Event<\/h2>\n

  1. Falafel balls making (from powder-mix, in bags\/boxes. You will also need fries machine)<\/li>\n
  2. Places in\u00a0Israel\u00a0\/ persons\u00a0\u00a0– Bingo<\/li>\n
  3. Collect recycling items (like boxes, cans, etc.) in advance. Build a famous building in\u00a0Israel\u00a0(like the Knesset, Azrieli towers etc.)<\/li>\n
  4. Choose 4 -5 terror victims families \/ mishpachot shakulot \/ army units. Write letters for them, make a video of people sending the brachot to them etc.<\/li>\n
  5. Baking pitas (on tabun)<\/li>\n
  6. Ice-cream maps of\u00a0Israel\u00a0– put ice cream in 9*13\u201d pans. Supply the participants with candies, syrups, cookie-crumbs, chocolate chips, icing, sprinkles etc.\u00a0\u00a0\u2013 different types and colors. Hang a colorful map of\u00a0Israel. They will have to make the map on the ice cream with all the other materials. After judging the best map \u2013 give them spoons and let them start digging\u2026<\/li>\n
  7. Icing a cake with an Israeli theme<\/li>\n
  8. Everything, especially stalls of selling can be designed like a shuk, including the noise, etc.<\/li>\n
  9. Huge puzzles of\u00a0\u00a0– map of\u00a0Israel, places in\u00a0Israel, Israeli flowers, persons etc. there will be a time limit (according to age) and small prizes (???)<\/li>\n
  10. Raffle \u2013 first prize \u2013 2 air tickets to\u00a0Israel, other prizes \u2013 different Israeli \/ Judaic\u00a0\u00a0product.<\/li>\n
  11. Design your own flag, based on postcard idea<\/li>\n
  12. IDF training<\/li>\n
  13. Israel\u00a0info centre: info for touring or for buying houses<\/li>\n
  14. Mosaic Making<\/li>\n
  15. Get to know Israeli money \u2013 learn about the notes we have and design a new 10,000 Shekel note (choose a person, a message and what would be on it) the winning design will be published locally and win a prise.<\/li>\n
  16. Tav Hashaa \u2013 play 10 seconds of an Israeli song and people have to guess the song.<\/li>\n
